CHAIRMAN Vladimir Khotinenko /Russia       Russian director, screenwriter, producer

People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. Member of the Eurорean Film Aсademy. Since 1995 he has been a Chair of Directing Department of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. He has been teaching at the High Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors for many years, and since 2015 – at the Academy of N. Mikhalkov. Born in 1952 in the town of Slavgorod of Altai Krai. In 1976, he graduated from the Sverdlovsk architectural Institute, and in 1981, he graduated from the higher courses of screenwriters and Directors (N. Mikhalkov’s workshop). 27 films as a director, the author of the script of 8 films. Among his works are films awarded prizes at prestigious film festivals and awards, such as TEFI», «NIKA», Golden Eagl».

Gunilla Bresky / Sweden Journalist, director, producer

She worked for many years at Swedish Radio with radio dramas and documentaries. Gunilla began making films in 1995, when she came to Russia. She has made several award-winning films about the unknown history of World War II including «Blood Road», a documentary about Russian prisoners of war in Norway, «A Grey Blanket with Embroidered Flowers, a film about a Norwegian woman who participated in the resistance, and «Night Witches», the story about female Soviet bomber pilots. Her new film about war time cinematographer Vladislav Mikosha has won prizes in many festivals around the world. «Little Catherine» (1996), «Mother» (1998), «Under the Rusty Star» (2001), «Dear Vera» (2002), «Submarine K141» (2007).

Irina Pavlova / Russia Film critic, screenwriter, teacher. Candidate of Art History

Member of the editorial board and author of the “Newest Film Dictionary». Author of books and over 800 articles on the history and theory of cinema, modern cinema, acting, television and theater in Russia and abroad. Since 2017 – Professor of the Higher Courses of Screenwriters and Directors (VKSR). Since 1995 – Member of FIPRESCI and the International Association of Film Press of the Year. Author and presenter of TV programs about cinema. Since 1985 – member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR, and since 1991 – Russia. Member of the Board of the Guild of Cinematographers of the UK, Member of the Artistic Council of the Central House of Cinematographers, Member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Since 1996 – Art Director of the All-Russian Film Festival «Vivat cinema of Russia!». Since 2002 – Art Director of the Russian programs of the Moscow International Film Festival. Winner of national awards in the field of cinema.

Rino Sciarretta / Italy  Producer, distributor

He began his activity in 1999 in the television distribution field, proposing to the Italian market the great classics of Russian and French cinema.
Then he specialized in the commercialization of the most important Russian directors, like Aleksandr Rogožkin and Andrei Konchalovsky, theatre, TV and Hollywood film director.
As producer amongst its best successes we can include «Il silenzio di Pelesjan», a documentary by Pietro Marcello, an internationally recognized and acclaimed young director. The documentary was realized with the collaboration of Rai In 2012 it was nominated for Nastri d’Argento as the best documentary about cinema. His film Bellezza, addio (2023) is a participant of the 59 International Film Festival of New Cinema in Pesaro (Italy)

National DOC Competition

CHAIRMAN  Yuri Polyakov / Russia    Writer, public figure, journalist. Candidate of Philological Sciences.

Laureate of All-Union prizes. Member of the Writers’ Union. Honorary Professor of Moscow State University. Graduated from MOPI im. Krupskaya, where he defended his dissertation on frontline poetry. He made his debut as a poet in 1974. Among the prose – “Emergency of the district scale”, “One hundred days before the order”, “Goat in milk”, “Love in an era of change”, “Fun life, or Sex in the USSR”. 150 books have been released, 10 films have been shot, his plays are staged in Russia and abroad. His works have been translated into many languages, included in school and university courses. 2001-2017 – Editor-in-chief of Literaturnaya Gazeta. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Patriarchal Literary Prize, the State Duma Council for Culture, the Public Councils of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, a member of the Presidium of the Society of Russian Literature. Laureate of the prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation and Moscow in the field of literature and art, winner of many literary prizes. Knight of the Orders of “Friendship”, “Honor”, “For Services to the Fatherland”.

Aneta Yerznkyan / Armenia    Film critic. Рrofessor, Honored Art worker of the Republic of Armenia.

Secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia of Armenia. Graduated from Yerevan State University; subsequently made her postgraduate studies at the Research Institute for Art Studies in Moscow.
Since 1977 she has taught at the Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1996 – a member of FIPRESCI. From 2006 to 2011 – was the Vice-Chancellor for academic affairs at Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography. From 2011 to 2012 she served as the Vice-Chancellor for international relations, quality assessment and scientific-educational programs at the same institute. Since 2013 she has been the Dean of the Department of TV and Animation at Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography. She is an international expert at the National Quality Assurance Center. She wrote a number of articles and books on cinema and television.

 

Alexander Kondrashov / Russia Journalist

Alexander Kondrashov is a Russian writer and journalist, editor of the cinema and TV department of Literaturnaya Gazeta. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1979, he worked in the Theater of the Soviet Army. Since 1991, he has been engaged in literary activities, published in the central press. He worked as a presenter on TVC television channel and radio presenter on RSN. Author of four books. Awarded the Prize named after A.N. Veselovsky for best debut, as well as the «Golden Calf» Award of the Literaturnaya Gazeta. In 2017, he received the «Golden Pen of Russia» Award from the Russian Union of Journalists.

 

Pavel Pechenkin / Russia, Film Director

President and founder of the Flahertiana International Film Festival, Artistic Director of the Novy Kurs Film Studio, founder and head of the Perm Cinematheque project, art Director of the Perm Cinematheque KGAUK. The author of the script and director of dozens of documentaries, including laureates of Russian and international festivals: the International Film Festival “Russia” in Yekaterinburg, the International Film Festival in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the International Film Festival “Message to Man” in St. Petersburg, the International Film Festival in Gyor, Hungary, the Baikal Festival of Documentary and popular Science films “Man and Nature”, ICF in Saarbrucken (Germany), ICF in Nancy (France), “Saratov Suffering” in Saratov, ICF “Stalker”, ICF in Duisburg (Germany), “Millennium” (Belgium), “Flahertiana” (Russia). Тhe author of the script, director and producer of 10 films.

International TV Competition

CHAIRMAN Sergey Lomakin Director of Special Projects of Public Television of Russia

Vice-President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio; journalist, media manager, author, producer and presenter of more than 150 documentary television films, winner of professional awards “TEFI” “For contribution to the professional community”. 1975 – worked at the APN “Novosti” (APN), specialized in Africa and the Middle East. 1987-1990 – Special correspondent, presenter and head of the infotainment program “Vzglyad”. 1977-1995 – worked at the Central Television Gosteleradio of the USSR. Since 1997 – holds senior positions on TV channels “TV Center”, “Association of Satellite Television”, “M1”, “Sever-TV”. 2007-2008 – historical projects “Kremlin children” and “Kremlin Funeral” on NTV. 2009-2010 – Executive Director of RBC. The author of the book about the work of the cameraman “Today it Became Known.”

Andrey Bass / Belarus First Deputy Director General of the agency Minsk-News

In 1983 he graduated from the faculty of journalism of the Far Eastern State University (Vladivostok). Internship on TUN channel (Warsaw, Poland) – 2003. 1983–1992 – correspondent, head of Department of the newspaper of Pacific fleet Boevaya Vakhta. 1993–2003, Deputy chief editor, then Chief editor of the newspaper of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Na Strazhe. 2003–2017-Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Second national TV channel (Minsk, Belarus). Producer, editor-in-chief and co-author of documentary cycles ,more than 300 films. Editor-in-chief and co-author of the script of the documentary series: History of Victory, Soviet Union, 15, Hero Сities, Revolutions of the XXI Сentury and others, awarded various prizes at national and international festivals.

Elena Prasolova / Russia General Director of the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company of the LPR

General Director of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the Luhansk People’s Republic, which includes the Lugansk 24 TV channel and five radio stations. Member of the Board of the regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia in the LPR. Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the women’s movement “United Russia”. Education – Russian Philology and Master’s degree in Management. The sphere of professional interests is the management of a media company in conditions of turbulence. Тhe Lugansk 24 TV channel was awarded special prizes “For loyalty to the traditions of analytical broadcasting”.

Zarina Umetalieva / Kyrgyzstan   TV and radio presenter, political commentator, media expert.

Leader of the socio-political program “Oh ORDO” in the NTRC. Author and presenter of the program “Eurasian Time”. In 2022, as an adviser to the First Deputy Prime Minister, he initiated a panel session “Eurasianism as the idea of uniting people. A Look into the Future ” at the Bishkek Economic Forum. Author and organizer of interuniversity student debates. Topic: “The idea of Eurasianism is a look into the future.” Initiator of the thematic discussion: “Eurasian media space. The role of information policy in promoting Eurasian integration projects” acted as a moderator of this thematic discussion.
Graduate student. The topic of the dissertation is “Legal regulation of the functioning of the media in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the context of the development of the information society”.

Journalist, critic, author, presenter, director and producer of the TV program House of Cinema which has been broadcast since 1991 on Petersburg and Culture TV channels. Graduate of the Faculty of theater and postgraduate of the Leningrad State Institute of theater, music and cinematography. Head of the TV journalism department at the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television. Board member of the Eurasian academy of television and radio.

Mr. Wu Jiang / China Producer, director

The Secretary-General of the Organisational Committee Summit of the Cooperation of ASEAN countries. Vice-President of Beijing Chuangshiji Classic Culture and Art Ltd. Company. Senior researcher of the China Academy of Art. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of China. Academician of EATR. Member of the International Jury of the IX, X, XI and XII Eurasian Teleforums, IV IFF of documentary and TV programs Won Together, TV festival I – MAN (Orenburg). Producer and Director of films and TV series (In the face temptations Policeman Zhang, Meeting with life, Chairman Mao and Mrs. Yang, Autumn rains, My mother Zhao And Man, An extraordinary incident in the village) and many others, repeatedly awarded prizes of international film and television festivals. Anna Yanovskaya / Russia   Director, screenwriter, producer

Member of the Producers Guild of Russia. Graduated from the (GITIS) Directing department (workshop of M.A. Zakharov – 1998)- As an actress, she participated in many international theater and film projects. She has played more than 25 roles in film and television. She has directed 7 films, written a script in 5 films. In 2014 she graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors. Participant and winner of domestic and foreign film festivals. Including MIFF, Message to Man, Nika Award, Golden Eagle Award, Kinoshock, Listopad, Artdocfest, Window to Europe, Flahertiana, Cottbus Film Festival, IDFA, Munich.doc, Berlinale 2022 -Grand Prix of the film festival “Window to Europe”, IFF “Leaf Fall” (Minsk). CHAIRMAN Vitaly Tretyakov / Russia, journalist, political scientist

One of the leading Russian journalists and political scientists, whose name is directly related to the formation of high-quality media in modern Russia. Creator and Dean of the Higher school (faculty) of television of Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1990 he created and headed The Independent newspaper, and was editor-in-chief until mid 2001. he also founded a number of print and online publications. Author and host of the TV-program What to do? Philosophical conversations (released since 2001 on the TV channel Culture). Since 2008 – Member of the Presidium of the Council for foreign and defense policy, Presidium of the Russian Association of international studies, member of the Fund’s Board of Trustees and analysis Unity for Russia, member of the editorial Board Strategy of Russia. Winner of numerous awards. Author of more than 2500 articles in various publications and 20 books.

Galina Adamovich / Belarus        Film Director

Galina Adamovich was born in Minsk. In 1994 she graduated from the Documentary Films Department of the Belarusian Academy of Arts. Since then, she has been working as a filmmaker. Galina Adamovich is one of the most interesting documentary film directors in Belarus, she is also well-known in the international community. Almost all of her works were awarded at different international festivals and the film “Oh my God” received more than fifteen awards, one of which is the Grand Prix at the Class A International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary.

Ekaterina Golovnya / Russia    Documentary filmmaker, producer.

Since 2020 – Director of the Central House of Cinematographers.
He heads the Golden Ribbon Studio. The author of the script, director, producer of more than 30 films. Ekaterina is a representative of the Golovnya cinematic dynasty, which was founded by Anatoly Golovnya.

CHAIRMAN Andrey Shemyakin – CHAIRMAN, Russia Film critic, screenwriter. Candidate of Philological Sciences.

Was born on January 12, 1955 in Moscow. In 1977, he graduated from the Romano-Germanic department of the Philological Faculty of Moscow State University, later – postgraduate studies. 1981- 1989 he worked as a junior researcher at the Gorky Institute of World Literature of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1985, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on American literature of the late XVIII century. Since 1989, he became a senior, and since 2000 – a leading researcher at the Institute of Cinematography. Since 2002, he became the head of the department of modern domestic Cinema of the Research Institute of Cinematography. For many years, A. Shemyakin has been the author and host of the TV show « Documentary Сamera . 2011- 2015, he was President of the Guild of Film Critics and Critics of Russia.

Laila Akhmetova /Kazakhstan Journalist, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Professor of Political Science.  Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Full member of the IIA, academician: of the KA of Humanities, of the RA of Natural Sciences, of the EATR, member of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly. Awarded the Order of Kurmet. Since 1976 has been teaching at the Faculty of Journalism at Al-Farabi KNU.

Sergey Prasolov Russia. Journalist, writer

Deputy Chairman of the Board of the regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia in the LPR, teacher at the Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts named after M. Matusovsky. Member of the LPR Writers’ Union. Education – Russian philology. Area of professional interests: journalism. He was the editor-in-chief of the Ukrainian Technical Newspaper, the news agency Lugansk Information Center, and the Internet portal Lugansk 1. More than 300 journalistic materials have been published in various publications. He hosted his own journalistic program “Judge for Yourself” on the Lugansk 24 TV channel. Published in various literary publications in Russia.
He taught literature at VSPI, journalism at the Leningrad State University named after V. Dahl.
Recently he worked as an adviser to the Chairman and press secretary of the LPR Government. Awarded the medal “For Fidelity to Duty” and departmental awards.

Evgeny Safronov /Russia   Editor-in-Chief of the InterMedia News Agency

Graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Culture with a degree in “conductor of the academic choir”.
Since 1984, he has been a participant and head of working groups on cultural research and preparation of legislative acts at the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, RAO, WIPO, RSP, NFPP, the Cinema Foundation, IFPI, and international organizations. Permanent speaker of national and international conferences and educational programs. Since 1994, he has been the founder and editor-in-chief of a number of publications: the Tour magazine, the Russian Music Yearbook. The Record Music Award, 1Rock media holding. Since 1998 — Head of the delegation of the Russian press at the International Festival of Arts “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk”. Since 2003, he has been teaching. Since 2016 — Academician of the Academy of Russian Music.
